When you need server management

Six server problems that turn into business problems.

Most outages and breaches we are called in to fix had warning signs weeks earlier. Nobody was watching.

01

Outages found by customers

A full disk or a stopped service takes your application down overnight, and you hear about it at 9 a.m.

02

Months of missed updates

Operating system and software patches are skipped because nobody has time, or nobody wants to break production.

03

Open doors for attackers

Default SSH and RDP ports, password logins and an open firewall attract brute-force attacks every minute.

04

Backups nobody has tested

Backup jobs report success, but no one has ever tried a restore — until the day you really need one.

05

Slow servers, rising bills

High CPU, memory leaks and slow queries make you buy a bigger server instead of fixing the cause.

06

Everything depends on one person

One developer or freelancer knows the server passwords and setup, and nothing is written down.

Our server management services

Server management services for Linux, Windows and cloud servers.

We manage servers wherever they run: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Indian data centres, any VPS or dedicated host, or hardware in your own office.

Windows Server & Hyper-V

Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server, Remote Desktop and Hyper-V virtual machine administration.

Server setup & migration

New servers built to a secure baseline, and applications moved between hosts or into the cloud.

24×7 monitoring & performance

Problems spotted and fixed before your users see them.

Monitoring agents on each server report health every minute. When a disk fills, a service stops or response times climb, an engineer is alerted and starts work immediately, following a runbook written for your server. Trends from the same data drive our performance tuning, so you upgrade hardware only when it is genuinely needed.

  • Uptime, website, port and SSL expiry checks
  • CPU, memory, disk, load and process monitoring
  • MySQL, SQL Server and PostgreSQL monitoring
  • Web server, PHP-FPM, IIS and database tuning

Server security & patch management

Hardened to a baseline and patched on a schedule.

Every server we take on is brought up to a written security baseline: key-based logins, restricted admin ports, a strict firewall, intrusion prevention and least-privilege accounts. Updates are then applied in agreed maintenance windows, tested first where it matters, and logged so you always know what changed and when.

  • SSH key logins, RDP restrictions and firewall rules
  • Fail2ban, CSF or Windows Defender firewall and intrusion prevention
  • Monthly OS and software patching with rollback plans
  • Malware scans, vulnerability scans and PCI-style audit support

Backup & disaster recovery

Backups you have actually seen restored.

A backup only counts once it has been restored. We automate daily file and database backups to separate, off-site storage, keep several versions so ransomware or a bad update can be rolled back, and run restore tests on a schedule. The recovery plan states how long a restore takes and who does what.

  • Daily file, database and configuration backups
  • Off-site and versioned storage, separate from the server
  • Scheduled restore tests with written results
  • Disaster recovery plan with recovery time targets

Cloud, VPS & dedicated servers

Cloud and VPS servers managed for uptime and cost.

Whether your application runs on AWS, Microsoft Azure, an Indian data centre or a single VPS, the work is the same: keep it available, secure and sized correctly. We administer the virtual machines, networking and storage, set up load balancing where it helps, and review usage every month so idle resources stop adding to the bill.

  • AWS EC2, Lightsail and Azure virtual machine administration
  • VPS and dedicated server management with any provider
  • Load balancers, snapshots and storage management
  • Monthly right-sizing and cloud cost review

Control panels, Hyper-V & DevOps

cPanel, Plesk, Hyper-V and deployment pipelines handled.

Hosting companies and agencies rely on control panel servers that must never stop. We manage cPanel/WHM and Plesk servers, Windows Server with IIS and Hyper-V hosts, and our own HostConsole panel. For development teams we also set up Docker, CI/CD pipelines and staging servers, so releases stop being risky.

How onboarding works

From first health check to fully managed servers.

A clear onboarding sequence, so nothing is changed on a production server before it is understood and backed up.

  1. 1

    Free health check

    free

With read-only access we review one server's security, updates, backups and performance and share the findings.

Why Sysfo

Why companies trust Sysfo with server management.

We look after servers the way we look after our own products — because we run our own hosting platform and business software on them.

We understand the applications

Our engineers build ASP.NET, PHP and Node.js software, so we can tell a server fault from an application bug.

Linux and Windows, equally

Ubuntu, RHEL-family and Windows Server with IIS, SQL Server and Hyper-V — many providers only do one well.

Everything documented

Runbooks, change logs and credentials vaults mean your servers never depend on one person's memory.

Least-privilege access

Named accounts, key-based logins and access logs; an NDA is signed on request and access is removed if you leave.

Any provider, no lock-in

We manage servers where they already are and you keep full ownership of every account and password.

India-based, round the clock

A Lucknow team since 2005, managing servers for businesses in India and other time zones.

FAQ

Server Management Services — frequently asked questions

What are server management services?

Server management services are the ongoing administration of your servers by an expert team: 24×7 monitoring, security hardening, patching, backups, performance tuning and troubleshooting. At Sysfo they cover Linux and Windows servers on AWS, Azure, VPS and dedicated hosts or on-premise, including cPanel, Plesk and Hyper-V, with a monthly health report.

How much do server management services cost?

It depends on the number of servers, operating systems, control panels, databases and the level of cover you need. We start with a free health check, then give a fixed, itemised monthly price per server for the Essentials or Complete plan, so you know exactly what is included before you sign up.

What is the difference between server management and web hosting?

Web hosting gives you space on our infrastructure under a ready plan for your website, domain and email. Server management is for servers you already own or rent — a VPS, dedicated machine or cloud instance — which we administer on your behalf. If you just need a website online, hosting is simpler; if you run your own servers, you need management.

Do you manage both Linux and Windows servers?

Yes. We manage Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and CentOS servers, as well as Windows Server with IIS, SQL Server, Active Directory, Remote Desktop and Hyper-V. Mixed environments with both are common among our clients, and one team looks after them all.

Can you manage servers on AWS, Azure or my current host?

Yes. Our server management services work with servers wherever they run: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Indian data centres, any VPS or dedicated hosting provider, or hardware in your own office. You keep ownership of the accounts; we work through named, least-privilege access.

What happens when a server goes down?

Our monitoring raises an alert within minutes and an engineer follows the runbook for that server: diagnose, restore the service and keep you informed. Response times are written into your plan as agreed SLAs. Afterwards you receive an incident report explaining the root cause and what we changed to prevent it happening again.

Do you manage cPanel and Plesk servers?

Yes. We manage cPanel/WHM and Plesk servers for hosting companies, agencies and businesses: updates, security hardening, mail queue and spam issues, account and DNS management, performance tuning and backups. We also manage Windows hosting servers running our own HostConsole control panel.

How do you keep our servers secure?

We apply a written security baseline — key-based logins, restricted SSH and RDP, firewall rules, intrusion prevention, least-privilege accounts and malware scanning — then patch every month in agreed maintenance windows. Regular vulnerability scans and log reviews catch new issues, and backups are tested so an attack can always be recovered from.

Will we lose access or control of our servers?

No. You keep ownership of every server, cloud account and password. We use our own named accounts, store credentials in an encrypted vault, document every change and remove our access the day you ask. All runbooks and documentation are handed over, so another team could take over at any time.
